How at-home testing works

1. Take air & surface samples
Using an easy, professional-grade DIY kit, you collect an indoor air sample alongside an outdoor air sample that acts as your control. The kit also includes a tape lift so you can sample any visible growth on a surface. Comparing indoor spore levels against the outdoor baseline is the same methodology indoor-air-quality professionals use in schools, hospitals and offices.
2. Register your samples
Registration is simple and online. You enter the unique serial numbers printed on your air cassettes and surface sample, add the property and contact details, and confirm. Write the confirmation number on your package and you are ready to ship.
3. Ship to the accredited lab
Place your samples in the pre-addressed shipping envelope included in the kit and mail them to the third-party, AIHA-LAP accredited laboratory. Standard analysis takes about three business days from the time the lab receives your samples, and you can track their status online at any time.
4. Get your easy-to-read report
The accredited lab analyzes and interprets your samples, then delivers a clear, paperless online report that tells you whether mold concentrations are Normal, Slightly Elevated or Elevated. You are notified by email the moment your report is ready to view.
